We recently decided to ttc. I started taking prenatal vitamins. Now I am having pains in my lower right stomach. Could the vitamins cause this?

It's possible: Prenatal vitamins (PNV), and/or other types of vitamins, can cause stomach discomfort. Some PNV can also cause constipation which could be the cause of your discomfort. If you're sure you aren't pregnant then try stopping them to see if you feel better, then restart. If it causes problems try another type. ...Read more

Another? /Metformin?: How long ago did you start the metformin? It can a while for some people to get used to and some have to go very slow and start at 500 mg once a day for a while, the extended release form can help and taking it with food can help. I would not take the metformin and Vitamin together. It is also common for Vitamins to cause upset stomachs and some people have to try a few to find one they tolerate. ...Read more
