I have acid reflux every day. It didn't used to be as frequent. I'm taking vitamins & wonder if they might be interacting adversely with each other.
Possible: There really isn't any way to say for sure about this except to do a little trial & error on your own. The main goal is to not change too much at once. Stop just one of your vitamins for several days, probably a week, & see how you feel. If no different, add that one back & stop another one for a similar length of time. This way you can tease out what the offending substance might be. Good wishes ...Read more

Is ok if I am taking a prenatal vitamins that has 800mcg of folic acid, and take another folic acid vitamin thar has 400mcg???
Its fine: Up to about 1000mcg or 1 mg is perfectly fine and this is just 1200 mcg. However, in the 400mcg pill you said folic acid vitamin. I am assuming you mean just a folic acid supplement and not a multivitamin. You can get too much of things like vitamin A, so just be aware of that. ...Read more
Are prescription based prenatal vitamins better formulated than OTC vitamins? Do they cause less nausea? Any advantages compared to otc?
NO, NO & NO:
Prescription-based prenatals on average cost more than otc. They are not better formulated, are often more difficult to absorb & offer no advantages. Prescription or not, avoid vitamins with unnecessary additives like artificial colors & titanium dioxide. Capsules may be better than tablets. Ideally they should have folate (folic acid) as l-5-mthf.

My daily prenatal vitamins have 800mcg of folic acid and 8mcg of b12. Is that sufficient? It's the equaline brand.
Should be but...: 800 mcg of Folic Acid should be fine, though if you are among the 1/3 of people that have trouble converting Folic Acid to the active form, l-5-mthf, you might consider supplementing with 1 mg of l-5-mthf (only a blood tests tells for sure). The rda of B12 is only 2.6 mcg so 8 mcg should be ok, though if you are vegan you could take higher amounts to be safe. For most, what you are on is fine. ...Read more

Absolutely: Folic acid is a normal component of most prenatal vitamins. Do prenatal vitamins contain enough amount of folic acid or I should take additional folic acid for the health of the baby?
Consider L-5MTHF: Prenatal vits. Contain enough Folic Acid for most people but about 1/3 of people have difficulty converting Folic Acid (which is synthetic) to the active form, l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (l-5-mthf) and 10% can 't convert it at all. A test for the mthfr gene is the only way to know for sure but it doesn't hurt to take 400 mcg of l-5-mthf to be safe and to eat dark leafy greens & other diet sources. ...Read more
Could you take prenatal vitamins that contain biotin, choline, inositol, and fumaric acid name of vitamin brand nordic berries?
I do not: Like the formula. They contain 9 grams of carbohydrate and the amount of thiamin (as are the doses of all the vitamins) is too low to metabolize that amount of carb. You can look it up on line. This expresses an incredible ignorance of industry in vitamins and foods. In pregnancy, first you need a pristine diet and the vitamin supplementation should be ordered by your ob/gyn. ...Read more
I started taking Vitafusion prenatal vitamins gummies 2 weeks ago & now have a yeast infection. I haven't had one in 10 years. Is this the cause?
