Should be okay: .. as long as it is a naturally occurring vitamin that would normally exist in the body. If it is artificial, even without knowledge of the exact substance, I would recommend against putting in your body while you are breast-feeding your child. Just know that whatever you are trying to do to help yourself with these vitamins may very well end up working on the infant as well. ...Read more

Might be pregnant or: While most pregnancy tests will be positive about a week after missing a period (if you are pregnant of course) sometimes it takes a bit longer so if your period does not start in a few days check again and use first morning urine (more accurate). Can prenatal vitamins give you the some of the same symptoms has pregnancy? Like breast tenderness fatigue gas and a little abdominal pain?
Unlikely: I've never heard of any vitamins causing breast tenderness. Vitamins are very unlikely to cause fatigue, gas or abdominal pain unless you're allergic to one or more of the ingredients- for example, some vitamins contain soy or gluten which are common allergens. If you're sure you aren't pregnant then try stopping them to see if you feel better, then restart. If it causes problems try another type. ...Read more

What can I do to help breast growth and estrogen what vitamins should I take that could help with both of these and foods?
Breast growth: At age 18, there are two things that can cause breast growth. One is being pregnant, the other is overall weight gain. Gains in body fat will make breasts larger, but I would guess that you would not want that. Taking extra vitamins or hormones likely won't change your breast size. Progestins, not estrogens, cause breast enlargement. ...Read more
Breast growth: Thete are no studies to show that any vitamin or herbal therapy actually increases breast size. Breast tissue is responsive to hormonal changes like estrogen and progesterone. This is mainly seen for example in pregnancy. I would caution otc therapies for this as they are just not completely studied by the fda. I recently answered a similar post earlier, you may find that helpful as well. ...Read more
Best women vitamins for teenage girls, that would help with breast growth and acne, or overall health?
None: There is no specific vitamin or mineral to help with breast growth or acne. However many teenage girls have diets deficient in calcium, iron and vitamin d. No: I don't know how that popular myth got started, but I know of no credible evidence that vitamin tablets do anything for hair or nails. Biotin (available in any health food store) does promote hair and nail growth (5000 units/day) if taken regularly. ...Read more

It is safe: It is safe for a non-pregnant woman of child bearing age to take a pre-natal vitamin. I'm not so sure it is going to help a whole lot with your hair growth. Hair growth depends on many factors, just one of them being adequate vitamin intake. So I wouldn't do this thinking it's the magic bullet to long hair. ...Read more
Not pregnant. Trying to grow my hair longer. Tried everything except taking prenatal vitamins. Is it a myth that prenatal vitamins help hair growth?
Ideally with 5-MTHF: Most prenatals are fairly similar but there's a subtle yet important difference. About 30% of people can't convert Folic Acid to its active form, l-5-mthf, so to be on the safe side it's best to take one with that form like prenatal nutrients (pure encapsulations), basic prenatal (thorne) or prenatal pro (designs for health). These also have biotin, which is important, & natural e, not synthetic. ...Read more
Before pregnancy!: If you are planning on getting pregnant then it is wise to start prenatal vitamins before you are pregnant to assure you are getting adequate Folic Acid to prevent a birth defect called neural tube defect. Most people don't know they are pregnant until the fetus is 2-3 weeks old. It is crucial to have adequate Folic Acid in those initial days of development, so don't wait until you know for sure! ...Read more
