4 month old baby born at 35w+3days. Should baby's born this early (5weeks) wait longer until they are introduced to solids?
Baby diet: Basically, in these days we do not recommend early introduction of solid food not even to full term infants because of food allergies. If the baby is growing well you may introduce the solid food around 6 mo of age unless otherwise advised by his pediatrician. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

My premature baby, born at 32 weeks and now 4 weeks old, has just come home from the nicu. We notice she stops breathing while burping.

If there is a pause longer than 15 seconds or any distress/color change, an apnea test can be useful in determining the cause. If there is a pattern during sleep, observe your daughter for pauses, and discuss with your PCP. Note any upper airway noise or movement of her arms/legs. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 34yr. had 2 miscarriages at 20weeks. have 1 baby born at 31 weeks after cerclage.had gestational diabetes.possible risks for another baby?
It's possible!: There is a wide variation of time before the 1st tooth presents. There are babies born with teeth. Also, in my practice, I have several 1- year olds with no teeth. The standard average time of the first tooth eruption is 6 months;however, many infants drool before then--not because of teeth but because of developing salivary glands. "teething" or fussiness can be from ear infections--so be wary. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Too soon : It's too soon to determine the need for a c section at 33 weeks. Your baby could still change its position over the next 5-6 weeks. If your baby remains transverse or becomes breech late in pregnancy, you will need a c section. However, it is simply too early to tell right now. Discuss this with your obgyn. Good luck! ...Read more
