Outside of compounded estrogens, is estrasorb the only topical estrogen for hormone regulation, not vaginal issues. ?
Is there advantage to Premarin (conjugated estrogens) over estradiol? Ii am having serious anxiety attacks on the estradiol. Is Premarin (conjugated estrogens) worth the ethics invoving horses?
Use what works for u: The horses are humainly treated prmarin has been around for yrs and generic pills do not often work as well as a brand name because a generic can have 20% less med or 25% more per pill and generics almost alwyas have less since the less drug teh cheaper it is to make if u were my pt i would put u back on Premarin (conjugated estrogens) or a differnt brand name pill or spray. ...Read more
Synthetic meds: 1st no such thing as free lunch ie there's always some potential risk or side effect. 2nd FDA only approves meds which they deem benefit greater than risk (tho obviously not w/o disagreement & controversy). 3rd no studies demonstrate benefit of any oral estrogen over another tho some studies suggest topical safe than oral. 4th Natural isn't safe than synthetic ie tobacco is natural but isn't safe! ...Read more
