Pregnenolone Dosage For Men
No association: No association I am aware of with Alzheimer's disease.
Specific & limited: Pregnenolone is an adrenal hormone made from cholesterol, and is the pre-cursor for sex-steroid hormones. It is said to 'improve mood, ' but no strong data support. To my knowledge there is no role for it's use as a supplement. Aromatase inhibitors are for treatment of some breast cancers; they're also used off-label for ovulation induction in women. No other appropriate uses to my knowledge.
Unknown effects: Rises in luteal phase of the cycle along with progesterone. As far as we know, it is simply a precursor to progesterone. It has risen in popularity in hormone replacement circles that are somewhat heavy on the till for hormones. It is a "new" way, supposedly to give people higher Progesterone levels but has never been studied and no one knows the true effects. Would stay away until know more.
Paxil/Proges.: Each has its own side-effect profile, but mixing the two should not cause interference with one another.
Arts and crafts: The cotton (or cotton-like material) in a bottle of pills fills up the extra space in the bottle, helping to prevent the pills from tossing around during shipping. This keeps the outer surface of the pills in good condition. A patient can use the cotton to make arts and crafts, or if worried about medicine residue on the cotton, can just toss it into the trash.
Could be: Could be a sign of congenital adrenal hyperplasia with one of several enzyme defects. This is rare. Depends on who's ordering the test. If endocrinology, this is the reason. Adrenal fatigue is a popular diagnosis now but really represents metabolic stress and is a reaction of the system to stress. The answer is not to address the symptom of the stress but to address the stress itself.
Could there be a correlation that would explain elevated ptt, high ALDO/PRA RATIO, low pregnenolone and elevated AFP?
Need to know more: You have not given enough info to give an accurate answer. Are you peregnant? Do you have any other acute or chronic problem, or cancer going on?
I'm young with low t, trying to find the cause should I get my e2, prolaktin, progesterone and maybe my pregnenolone due to bodybuilding carrier. Thanks!
Bodybuilding: Your question is written with some ambiguity, but why would you be surprised to have low t if you are taking any product for body building? Taking products for body building is extremely dangerous (regardless of what you read on the internet or what your body building buddies maintain). It is not wise. It is dangerous and I would recommend you stop testing and stop the product and pray.
Hormone replacement: Its never a good idea to take a hormone as a supplement unless there is a deficiency. Even in some hormone deficiencies, the drawbacks to replacement outweigh the benefits. While there is some limited evidence that dhea replacement can help specific groups (people with addison's disease for example), I am unaware of evidence for pregnenolone replacement. Endocrinologists have this knowledge.See 1 more doctor answer
Can certain things increase REM sleep, such as melatonin or pregnenolone? Academic interest for the most part.
Possibly: There is a lot of research out there, pro and con, concerning REM sleep. I would even consider calling a local sleep specialist in your area.
Need serious answers-any dangerous reactions between Norvasc (amlodipine) 5mg and reacted multimineral, phosphatidylserine, pregnenolone, adren-all? Thank you.
I checked: No interactions have been reported (but probably those chemicals haven't been studied, either, since they're not commonly used together).See 1 more doctor answer
For me, pregnenolone = a powerful mood stabilizer, antidepressant, anxiolytic & sensory sensitivity reducer. What could this mean? Adrenal issue?
Intriguing: There are some early research studies that suggest that pregnenalone may indeed do what you're describing. It's too early to consider it a psychiatric drug for anxiety and mood disorders. But who knows what the next year or two might uncover. (to prove absolutely that it is not an adrenal issue will require some blood work ordered by your doc.
