I'm a 31 year old female and was advised to take calcium supplements. Is it alright to take 1200mg elemental calcium/day? Most have 600mg/pill.
Depends on diet.: Given your age, you are recommended to take in 1000 mg/day. Do you get any calcium via your diet? If you do, i would probably stick with one 600 mg pill/day.
