If my cervix lowers does it mean miscarriage? I have been so paranoid that I am going to miscarry. I got pregnant while using the mini pill and apparently conceived a few days after my period. The only reason I took a test was because my cervix was high a
First of alll let me advise you not to do your own cervical exams, it's best if you are pregnant to leave that to your doctor. To answer your question, it is very difficult to say if you will miscarry or not, however you should see a doctor for an evaluation. If your cervix is found to be incompetent (weak) then your doctor may place something called a cerclage (stitch on your cervix) this keeps it closed, however this may require you to be on bed rest.
Best of luck. ...Read more

Pregnancy pills: There are certain medications, generally prescribed only by a gynecologist, to help women get pregnant. Most common and cheapest is clomiphene, which makes it more likely that you will ovulate in time at the middle of the month. There are other more expensive hormones that can control the entire cycle, but these should be used only if Clomiphene fails. There is no 100% sure way to induce a pregnan. ...Read more
Unprotected sex: If you want to become pregnant, you need to engage in unprotected sex. While there are pills to prevent pregnancy, there are no pills to get pregnant, at least not w/o sex or some form of artificial reproductive technique. On the other hand, if trying to conceive, we recommend taking Folic Acid to lower risk of neural tube defects although this vitamin won't get your pregnant. ...Read more
Yes: Believe it or not, pills are not 100% effective. In regular use (considering that some people are not even consistent with them or have), failure rates are as high as 8%. They're much better than not using anything but really you should be considering a more long acting reversible method like the iud or the arm implant which you can just set and forget. ...Read more

One wouldn't: While the pill doesn't completely stop ovulation, you don't get pregnant on the 7 day pill free time. Not enough info...: "Pills" tells me nothing of what you took & stopped. Pregnancy is caused by sex around the time of ovulation, leading to fertilization of an egg by sperm that then implants. If you are healthy, then a regular unprotected sex life (with some attention to mid-cycle/ovulation) generally EVENTUALLY leads to pregnancy. At your age, evaluation after 1 yr of not conceiving is warranted. Take care. ...Read more
