Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I am pregnant and I don't want it at this point because in am just 20 and my work is too hectic, please suggest me some medical remedies.?

Your right: This is your decision.
First - is this early enough to stop the pregnancy?
Second - what would be the risk for you not be pregnant again?
Is your job really hectic or you are just simply not ready?
This is serious decision. Many questions need to be answered. Weigh all pros and cons. ...Read more

At what point in a pregnancy does a baby become conscious?

At what point in a pregnancy does a baby become conscious?

Tough Question: Several studies have shown that the fetus responds to music that is being played and heard in utero, and consciousness can be defined in several ways- spirituously, or physiologically. That is an age old debate, however, what is definately known is that a child is truly "aware" at birth and its' first breath and cry. ...Read more

20weeks 4days pregnant. US showed baby weighs 1lb 2oz and measuring at 22weeks. LMP on point so no way he's older. Will he be a big baby?

Too early to say!: At 20 weeks how large a baby will be. I wouldn't worry too much at this point, the estimated weights are just that - estimates - and the baby has another 20 +/- weeks to go. Likewise with EGA (dates) - 2nd trimester ultrasound is generally considered within +/- 2 weeks, so your 22 weeks and 20w4d overlap. Good wishes. ...Read more

I`ve never been this late before (7 days) but I keep getting negative results. Is pregnancy likely or at this point is it something else?

Anovulatory cycle.: If you are over a week late and the urine pregnancy test is negative, you must have had an anovulatory cycle that deregulated your menstrual cycle. Do not fret - see your gynecologist to make sure.
Take Folic Acid 1-5 mg daily if you are sexually active. ...Read more

I have a sch 1.5 CM and I am so worried about my pregnancy. Is that considered small at this point or should im worry. Why does this happen?

I have a sch 1.5 CM and I am so worried about my pregnancy. Is that considered small at this point or should im worry. Why does this happen?

Think positive.: Subchorionic hemorrhage happens and yes, it is one of the most anxiety-provoking phenomenons of early pregnancy. Fortunately the size of the hemorrhage is not associated with the likelihood of miscarriage, although the risk is increased slightly. Think positive, have hope, and follow up. Spotting is likely, expect it, but may not mean much. Best of luck.

35.5wks pregnant. BP has been up from 128/82 to 148/85 this past week, HR 97-110. Something to worry about or is this ok at this point in pregnancy?
