My daughter swallowed a penny 2 weeks ago, it was stuck in her trach. Now she have a persistant cough, is that a reason why?

My daughter swallowed a penny 2 weeks ago, it was stuck in her trach. Now she have a persistant cough, is that a reason why?

Hard to say: First, if the penny was stuck in her trachea, she didn't swallow it. Swallowed things go to the stomach. If she swallowed it, it is likely that it has already been passed in the stool and would not explain a cough. If it went in her trachea, then hopefully it's been removed. There could still be some residual irritation in the airway causing cough, or the cough could be unrelated to the coin. ...Read more

Can eating really fast and not chewing food properly be the reason my food comes back up for hours after I eat and tastes the same as swallowed before?

Can eating really fast and not chewing food properly be the reason my food comes back up for hours after I eat and tastes the same as swallowed before?

Probably not.: Eating fast should not cause regurgitation of stomach contents, unless maybe you are eating so much that you are becoming overly full. Assuming that is not the case, then the rapidity of your eating should not make a difference. It is possible that you have acid reflux that is causing your symptoms. If antacids do not work, see your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

What is the most likely reason for clicking in my throat when I swallow?

What is the most likely reason for clicking in my throat when I swallow?

I have experienced dysphagia for 5 months.barium swallow was done and showed mild cervical herniated disc.is it possible it was the only reason?
