Gastroenteritis: During pregnancy, the immune system 'down regulates' or weakens because there is a baby on board. So this makes the mom more susceptible to infections. With nausea/vomiting/diarrhea - those are symptoms of a GI bug. You have to be very careful since you need to stay healthy enough to keep supporting your baby.
