Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. You should see your gynecologist for evaluation and bloodwork to see if there is another cause for the skipped periods and other symptoms. ...Read more

I take birth control regularly (within 1 hour of same time each day)lately I have been lightheaded/dizzy a lot with hot flashes. Pregnancy symptom??

Unlikely: If you take the pill regularly, you are not likely to be pregnant. If you missed your period by 4-5 days, you may do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

Depends: If you have been taking the pill regularly, pregnancy is unlikely. If you had sex since your last period and have missed a period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
