If urine pregnancy tests were giving false negatives and a pelvic CT scan was performed at a possible 7 weeks pregnant, would the fetus show in scan?
Precautions: The radiology place I am sure would have taken the precaution of finding if you were pregnant before doing the scan and should have used a reliable test. And yes, if you were pregnant, as long as the area of interest shows the pregnancy they should be able to see it and give you advise…but then again, it should not happen. ...Read more

Done 3 urine tests. positive. about 4 weeks pregnant. Vaginal ultrasound scan shows embryo but with no yolk sac. Endo thickness: 19.3mm. Worried?
Give it time: Our technology to detect pregnancies is amazing but sometimes we see structures well before they get formed. Give it time for the sac to form structures; you can repeat the US in 1-2 weeks to assess growth. This can be correlated with hormone level checks as well to ensure appropriate rise Best Wishes Dr M ...Read more
Had a neg hcg. week later showed positive, 8 positive pregnancy tests according to LMP should be 6 week transvaginal ultrasound didn't show gest sac?
Not unusual: That is not that unusual. Often the sac won't be visualized until 8 weeks. As long as your BHCG levels are rising and they do not see any evidence of a tubal pregnancy, try to relax and be patient. Most OB's won't even have you come in untold 10 weeks because that is about the time the heart beat will be noticeable. ...Read more
Depends: The precision of an ultrasound depends somewhat on the equipment, the technician, the interpreter & the reason for study. If the scan is done to verify the placental location, fetal position & head size(to verify dates), simple equipment works ok. Yes, but not common: Yes, just about any study can have false positives, however it is not common with a hida scan. Do early positive results on pregnancy tests indicate a higher probability of twins? I had 3 positive pregnancy tests at 3 weeks pregnant.
Very unlikely: A positive pregnancy test 2 months after a miscarriage is more likely to be from a new pregnancy. However it is possible to be positive 2 months after a miscarriage if the miscarriage didn't pass all the pregnancy tissue, and that tissue is still making pregnancy hormone. In this situation i order several blood pregnancy tests in a row to see if the number is rising and get an ultrasound. ...Read more
