Normally PT: Is okay while pregnant. Inform your pt about this as the only thing you really do not want to do is anything new that is very strenuous that could cause physiologic stress. Basic pt should be okay, but discuss with your OB and pt to be safe. I don't understand: I have never heard of this. Nearly all physical therapy departments have normal linoleum or carpeted floors. Unless you want to put magnets in the soles of your shoes to keep your feel from sliding around, or to make you work harder to pick up your feet, i can think of no reason why walking on an iron floor would be desired or have any advantage. ...Read more

So when you go to pt, make sure you learn a home exercise program of stretching and strengthening for the affected body part.
