Pregnancy H Cg Levels While Breastfeeding
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I have high hCG levels in my blood but my pregnancy isn't showing up on an ultrasound. What could be wrong?
Wat dosage of cytotec (misoprostol) to give to terminate 4week 5 days pregnancy if beta hCG levels going low?
May not need: If beta HCG is dropping you likely are already having a miscarriage. Most physicians aren't recommending using Cytotec (misoprostol) alone to terminate a pregnancy. Most mds will provide Mifepristone combined with cytotec (misoprostol). I realize that some women will obtain Cytotec (misoprostol) in mexico or on-line and use at home without a doctor. This isn't safe. See a md if you need assistance with terminating a pregnancy. ...Read more
BY the time your hCG level is high enough to detect in a home pregnancy test how many weeks pregnant will you be?
Ralph881: Believe it or not, home pregnancy tests are positive at very low HCG levels in the first 2-3 weeks of pregnancy and sometimes even earlier. The key is performing the test on the first urine after a night's sleep so it is concentrated and not dilute and performing the test exactly as instructed ...Read more

With a tubal pregnancy will your hcg levels rise higher? After you lose a tubal pregnancy natural how long will you bleed?
Tubal pregnancy: The levels of HCG in tubal or other "ectopic" locations for a pregnancy are much lower than the levels in an intrauterine pregnancy, which explains why home pregnancy tests are sometimes negative. It is very important to check the HCG levels by a serum test to make sure the pregnancy is gone. See your ob/gyn provider for an exam to be certain. ...Read more

Do I still have a change of pregnancy if my hCG levels on my blood test came back "less than 2" five weeks since my last encounter?
I'm supposed to be 6w 4d my hCG levels were tested today and in the 70000 is that a sign of molar pregnancy or would thy be higher?
A little high: For 6w 4d, that's a little high. Doesn't necessarily mean you have a molar pregnancy. You could actually be a few days father than 6w 4d. You could also be carrying multiples. Though it's on the high end, it could also be normal. An ultrasound would definitely help you determine, schedule one asap if you're worried. ...Read more
Doctor said that some sensitive home pregnancy tests can pick up a positive result with an hCG level of just 1mlu. Possible? How?
Does it matter?: Most tests pick up a bhcg of about 20. I am not sure why this is useful information though. A bhcg coubles every 48 hours. Even in the rare cicumstance where someone checks a test so early it can not detect it (say a level of 19) 48 hours later your level is high enough for detection. Home pregnancy tests are very simple and very accurate. ...Read more
I am in 6th week of pregnancy as per the urine and blood test. .. Hcg level in blood is 768... Do I need scan to conform my pregnancy?
Maybe not yet: The HCG level suggests you may not yet far enough along to show on ultrasound. Suggest you get the HCG repeated in a week if you are worried and confirm that the HCG has increased appropriately. If HCG is ok then get the scan when your doctor wants the routine fetal survey. ...Read more

When your beta hcg is over 2000, you can start to identify structures in the uterus to suggest that you have a intra-uterine pregnancy (vs ectopic).

Is it possible to get pregnant if hCG levels are above 100 after a recent ectopic pregnancy? How low would they have to be to ovulate again?
Zero: You need to wait until the HCG reaches zero to try again. That is for several reasons. First you could be at danger from the ectopic still if is not totally gone. Also after a miscarriage or an ectopic it is possible to have a type of pregnancy cancer where the HCG never goes down to zero. So in either case it is very important to follow the HCG down to zero first, . ...Read more
I had an ectopic pregnancy in June and I am now 5 weeks 4 days pregnant but my HCG levels have dropped slightly. Will I definitely miscarry?
Good question: You have to be monitored very closely bu your obstetrician. He/she will be able to guide you. There is an adage that "if anything can go wrong it will". Please keep in close touch with your OB and report abdominal pain that is sudden in onset, is stabbing and does not radiate. Stay calm but aware. This is serious. ...Read more
I have flucuating hCG levels since I tested postive on 14dpo, hCG ars 35, 24, 48 and now 317 at 5 wks. Will my pregnancy be normal or ectopic?
Hcg levels: Rising hcg's are reassuring. However, I usually want to see a Progesterone level in patients at risk of ectopic, especially if plateau of HCG is noted. Most (but not all) ectopics have very low Progesterone levels. Often times even lower than an early miscarriage. See if your OB is comfortable with ordering and interpreting Progesterone levels. ...Read more

Four weeks pregnant light bleeding that stopped still positive on home pregnancy tests hCG level on Tuesday was 24 and Thursday was 23. Any hope?
Hcg levels: It really shouldn't go down. However, if the tests were done at 2 different labs you can't compare the two being a couple days apart. I would repeat the level in about a week. Might be a good idea to check a progesterone level as well as very low levels are associated with miscarriage or tubal pregnancy. ...Read more
My HCG at 5w5d (evening) was 22, 000. I am concerned that this indicates down syndrome. Are high HCG levels in early pregnancy an indicator of DS?
