Yes- you're at risk: BC pills being taken at the same time can certainly give you 1 level of protection but having vaginal sex with a fertile male ALWAYS runs you the risk of pregnancy. If you're within 24 hrs. of when you had relations then, Plan B can still work. Greater than that then, it may not be worth doing that.... ...Read more

Accutane: The correct dose of Accutane is 1mg/kg a day for 20 weeks. Thus, if you were 120 pounds you would take 6mg a day of accutane. At this dose 80% of patients do not have acne again. Even though there are risks they are very rare. In 20 years, I have only had to stop Accutane in 5 patients and I have treated thousands. ...Read more

Nuts are healthy: Nuts are a healthy part of your diet but only if you avoid the typical highly salted peanuts common to the states. Recent study of mediterranean diet found benefit from those who ate lots of nuts, say 30g/d: 15g/d of walnuts, 7.5g/d of almonds & 7.5g/d of hazelnuts. Actually it does: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21103844 it's ;probably a good thing and it's raelly mild. I haven't heard of anything involving the thyroxine receptors.And this would surprise me greatly as the Accutane and thyroxine molecules are about as different as can be. ...Read more
