After day treatment of prednisone I had bad withdrawal effects. What should I do?

After day treatment of prednisone I had bad withdrawal effects. What should I do?

Not sure what u mean: After one day's treatment? That would not cause withdrawal. If steroids are used for more than a couple of weeks, it should always be tapered. Medrol (methylprednisolone) dosepaks are available that actually taper the dose on a very specific schedule, and are often used in people who have to be on a week or 10 days worth of steroids. Talk to whoever was prescribing the Prednisone to you - they can give best advice. ...Read more

Are the risks of gastric relapse of chrohns high after prednisone treatment?

Gastric Crohn's: There is always a risk of relapse of Crohn's disease, no matter which part of the digestive tract it is in. Treatment with prednisone does not increase the chances of a relapse. Steroids: The answer depends on many variables such as how much prednisone you recieved and how well your other organs are functioning.
