Precautions Exercising Obese
Exercise: It's great that you are exercising. When you are obese, your joints (ankles, knees, hips, back) are under much more stress so you will want to do low impact exercises (running is bad). Also, water exercises in a pool are also a good idea. Focus on cardiovascular exercises rather than weight lifting. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

The normal range of heartbeat is 120-170. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to make the baby grow properly to prevent a miscarriage. ...Read more

I have fatty liver from obesity. I have been dieting and exercising. I don't want to damage my liver more but would it hurt to eat non diet food once in a while?
Have you lost weight: The best thing you can do for yourself is to change your lifestyle.....Not just go on a "diet". I don't know what you mean by "diet foods", but i think you are craving the "non-diet" foods because you have not found food that you like which are also healthy. Once you find these....You will rarely crave "non-diet" foods. See my website for more info: www.Jhsurgery.Com. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I suspect that i got normal weight obesity, as I am thin but have a belly. I am now dieting and exercising, i lose my weight but not my belly?
Avoid carbs or sugar: Helpful weight loss diets have natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and iceberg lettuce (little/no salad dressing). When shopping for fruits, buy small ones no bigger than a tennis ball, because fruits have sugar. Drinks without calories include water and green tea. A calorie is a calorie, but surely avoid sugar & simple starch calories. ...Read more

Is flax oil good to help fatty liver from being obese? I am dieting and losing weight and exercising
Maybe: There are some small, I mean small studies that suggest some benefit in fatty liver disease for flaxseed oil, but it's not great. It's unlikely to harm you, but make sure you don't consume too much, as even if its good, the high caloric density can catch up with you and cause weight gain. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Partially: Any exercise can contribute to weight loss. Stationary cycling can burn 400-500 calories/hr; one pound is 3500 calories, so you would have to exercise 8-9 hrs to burn up 1 pound. Diet is a necessary component to weight loss. There is no way to 'spot exercise' to lose fat in any certain area. Good luck. Consistency is the key. Exercise and diet both play important roles in weight loss. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have knee pain from obesity. So i start to exercising at the gym. But when i run or walk, i feel knee pain, so it's a dilemma. How to exercise?
Alternatives: Consider some alternatives like riding a stationary bicycle, using an elliptical, or even better swimming. As the pain you may be feeling could very well be related to weight bearing forces at your knee. The exercises mentioned above help limiting the forces on the knee.
