Diagnosis confirmed?: Do you really have stroke issues or is this really secondary to classical migraine auras? If so, risk of stroke increases with smoking, and in women, use of birth control pills. You might want to have your homocysteine level checked and inquire about congenital heart disease and anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, but if this is migraine, risk is very low. ...Read more

Likely yes: If you have decreased blood flow in critical areas, this can create problems with awareness, but I am more concerned about ongoing "gaps in time" which may well be post-stroke seizure activity, which definitely needs attention and treatment.
