Can a low Vitamin D level of 20 (normal range 33-100) cause any symptoms such as depression or fatigue? I also have POTS syndrome.

POTS is one of: A number of autonomic dysfunction syndromes and recurrent fatigue is part of the manifestation. Low Vit D could contribute to generalized symptoms and should be corrected. It would not be surprising if you were depressed but it is unlikely to explain your physical symptoms. Read more about your condition on Dr. Blair Grubb's web sites about dysautonomia and autonomic dysfunction. ...Read more

Get frequent bouts of fatigue that impact life. My doc is baffled &questioned if I'm depressed. Have POTS syndrome. My Vit D is low. I exercise daily?

Underlying causes: I believe that POTS is a set of symptoms which can potentially explained by a underlying cause. The one key question to ask about a person with depression is their level of interests towards their favorite activities. It will be concerning if they lose that ability. ...Read more
