Potatoes OK, also...: Vegetarian diets are associated with reduced risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes etc. But a strict vegetarian diet is not for everyone. While it's wise for all of us to eat mostly vegetables, occ. Wild salmon, organic chicken or grass-fed meat may be ok for you. No problem with baked/steamed potatoes- avoid fries! i highly advise dr.
