Can acesulfame potassium cause diarrheal?

Sweeter than sugar : Scientists found that acek increased glucose uptake by 20-30 % compared to regular sugar. Although it has been approved by the fda, its safety is still questioned by the center for science in the public interest. Acek's side effects are headaches, liver complications, mental confusion, precancerous, visual impairment, and kidney problems. I would be cautious about using acek sweeteners. ...Read more

Can these cause any issues with hearing :potassium chloride, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate and sodium dihydrophosphate dihydrate?

Hearing: It is unlikely that any hearing loss is related to the items you list. Hearing tests are essential - I have had them and am wearing hearing aids. Many big stores offer hearing tests at no cost. In my area it is Costco or Sam's Club. There should be something like this all over the USA. ...Read more

No problem: The ratio seems high because your creatinine is lower than usual. There is nothing with a low creatinine. Women tend to have lower creatinine due to smaller muscle mass, as compared to men. You lab results are fine. ...Read more

Can I take vitamin C pills (always made of sodium/potassium bicarbonate, (sodium bicarbonate) ascorbate, benzoate...) w. pulmonary hypertension requiring low sodium diet?

Can I take vitamin C pills (always made of sodium/potassium bicarbonate, (sodium bicarbonate) ascorbate, benzoate...) w. pulmonary hypertension requiring low sodium diet?

Yes, however...: I strongly advise you take Vitamin C, ideally 1000 mg 2-3x/day, but you should try to find forms without sodium. I don't know what's available in Denmark, but in the US you can find ascorbic acid, or calcium or magnesium ascorbate without sodium. Lypo-spheric Vit. C is esp. well-absorbed,but has 120 mg of sodium, but a low sodium diet usually allows 2000mg/day. Vit. C is best with bioflavonoids. ...Read more

Why need I increase bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) levels in respiratory acidosis?

Why need I increase bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) levels in respiratory acidosis?

Acid-base: Physiology is like a delicate balance. If one organ fails to carry its weight, another organ has to compensate. For your acid-base balance, bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) (regulated by the kidney) is one side of the balance, and co2 (the lungs responsibility) is the other. If the lungs allow you to accumulate too much co2, then the kidneys (if healthy) will make and retain more bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate). ...Read more

High potassium linked to vertigo?

High potassium linked to vertigo?

No: And you can't get high potassium unless you have kidney failure, acidosis, take an overdose of potassium, or take drugs that inhibit your kidney from removing it. The healthy kidney regulates potassium levels very closely. That said, dangerously high levels of potassium cause cardiac arrest without warning symptoms such as vertigo. ...Read more

Can rich beers like ales raise potassium levels ?

YESSSSS!!!!: 'ol's raise potassium and sodium levels ! (alcohol, like mannit 'ol') (look up mannitol) are both osmotic diuretics-- they make you peeee. This type of diuretic (think 'water pill') can reek havoc on sodium and potassium, and worse cause an acidosis-- which is the headache result in hangovers.
