What does "cluster of lymph nodes in the left posterior cervical region. Clinical correlation is recommended." means?

Not much: All it means is that you have some enlarged lymph nodes in the back of your neck. When they say clinical correlation it just means that they cannot comment on the lymph nodes other than to say they are large without knowing what the patient's history is. A 26-year-old with a large lymph nodes in the back of their neck usually has them because of an infection in the back of the nose. ...Read more

I have had enlarged supraclavicular and posterior cervical lymph nodes for 3 years. Since I've had them so long do you think they aren't serious?

It is worrisome: Lymph nodes swell when there is something wrong. It can be something as simple as a sinus infection or as serious as cancer, HIV/AIDS, or syphilis. The only way to decide if is is "serious" is to determine what is causing it. Three years of supraclavicular lymphadenopathy would make me worry about the possibility of lymphoma (a type of blood cancer). See your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more

Can a neck MRI with contrast show any malignant lymph nodes near collarbone or where posterior neck joins the shoulder?

Yes and no: An MRI can do many things, like show if you have enlarged lymph nodes - however in order to determine if they are benign or malignant you would need a biopsy of the tissue in question. I will often order an ultrasound first when evaluating lumps in the neck, and only order MRI if the ultrasound is inconclusive or unable to do needle biopsy. ...Read more

Can lymph nodes under the jaw n in the posterior triangle enlarge after wisdom tooth extraction? Ben 5 weeks since the removal MRI said non enlarged reactive lymph nodes how long should it take?

You Bet!: Your mouth is very full of bacteria, and then you had 4 big holes made in your jaw/gumline. Your body did what it is supposed to do by kicking the lymph nodes in the area into action to prevent bacteria from getting into your system. It can take 3-6 months for them to do their thing and go back down to normal size. ...Read more

Need to know if a dr orders a cats can for lymph nodes before s bronscopy is it cancer.

Sounds like he's: Looking for evidence, but the only proof is a biopsy. Ct-scans reveal lumps, in lungs or the mediastinum, wher the heart, swallowing tube and lymph nodes live. Size and architecture point to or against cancer. Pet/ct follows a biopsy. They must know that there is cancer first, then look for the legitimate treatments. ...Read more
