Embolism: It sounds like your doctors suspect endocarditis which may throw septic emboli into the brain which causes ischemia or infarction of brain tissue and depending on where the tissue damage is, you would develop symptoms similar to what you describe. Chest discomfort: The valve findings are not severe enough to cause symptoms, but the pulmonary hypertension as well as systemic hypertension are of concern. I recommend a treadmill stress test, 24 hour ambulatory heart monitor and pulmonary function testing for further evaluation.
