Options available: CT scan of the abdomen may be indicated but not for mild pain alone. If the symptoms are progressive and there is concern for Cancer(unlikely in your age group), then only I would consider doing a CT. Similarly Colonoscopy is not indicated because of pain alone.If there is bowel irregularity or blood in stool Colonoscopy is reasonable to do. Not unusual.: It would not be unusual to feel off the day after a colonoscopy, either from the procedure itself or from the anesthetic. Today might be a wash, but if you're still not right tomorrow then you may want to let your Gastroenterologist know. ...Read more

R/O IBS: IBS = irritable bowel syndrome is a diagnosis of exclusion. SX can be managed You need a full exam and blood work. Especially screen for H pylori . Also stool screen x 3 for occult blood /parasite/hpylori . you also need a baseline colonoscopy. While you are getting these items checked out you should stick to a gluten free high fiber diet . See your doctor: A colonoscopy 6 years ago would not be helpful for recent abdominal pain. You need a thorough physical exam followed by blood work or imaging (ct scan). A repeat colonoscopy may be warranted based on the above results. ...Read more

What is question?: Difficult to understand your question. If you have occult blood in stool and you are having belly pain and swelling, you should probably have that colonoscopy, and more of an evaluation, as quickly as possible. Did you have an exam?
