According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Maybe: You may have had a very early miscarriage. We now know, since we have such sensitive pregnancy tests, that there are a lot more miscarriages than we knew about in the past. A lot of late periods it turns out are actually miscarriages. If you aren't having any problems, there is nothing that needs to be done at this point and there is no way to know for sure if this is what happened. Hope this help ...Read more

Congratulations!!: Congratulations! By the information you gave me, you are most likely 3-6 weeks pregnant. By 3 to 4 weeks after conception, pregnancy tests start to become positive and you can see the gestational sac, but not the embryo on ultrasound. By around 6-7 weeks, you start to see the embryo and pick up a heartbeat. Your doctor may have a better idea of how far along you are by measurements of the gestational sac. Ask at your next appointment. Good luck! ...Read more

1 positive pregnancy test several days before my period. I'm now 2 days late, but I've taken 3 negative tests. Only extremely light spotting/discharge?

Blood test: It may be better to get a blood test for HCG level. If it is less than 5 at 3 days after a missed period, it would exclude pregnancy.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Is it possible to get a positive pregnancy test 8days after sex? Sex was on the 1st didn't have period on the 3rd and by the 8th had tested positive.

Unlikely: Was this the only episode of sex since your last period? It is very unlikely an embryo resulting from sex would produce enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. If the result is negative repeat the test in 4-5 days. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
