If an ovarian cyst gave a false positive last yr and I've taken 3 tests last week and all r pos, could a cyst be the reason why again?
I've taken 8 pt total and all positive. I went to the dr for a blood test a week ago and came up negative. Could it be that I have an ovarian cyst?

I was on pill over a year but quit. Haven't told my doc yet, but feel mentally positive and happier. How often do I need check up for ovarian cysts?

Probably: Depends on what the definition of "small abnormal cyst" is? But any follicle that's functional can trigger an lh surge to start the ovulation process. The other possibility if you were scanned at a particular cycle day, is that you ovulated before the scan even as close as minutes before the scan and the early corpus luteum could be missed leaving only the "small cyst" to be seen on ultrasound. ...Read more
Depends on the size : And how it looks whether it is just fluid filled, solid , septated etc and the size and if there is additional pelvic fluid seen and blood work can be done to help r/o or rule in the possibility of cancer you need to discuss all of this with your gyn since you most likely already had the ultrasound to diagnose a cyst. ...Read more
