It is on the side of the ball of my foot, the skin is very thick and not healing together but is not too sore. How do I keep the skin together?

Go to Podiatrist: Sounds like you have a painless foot ulcer. Go to a Foot doctor for debridement and treatment. Sometimes the thick tissue must be removed before the new tissue starts growing back. You may need antibiotics or ointments and wound care. Rule out Neuropathy usually caused by Diabetes or other conditions causing the sore not to be painful.
