Ask your Dr: But not sure about ponstan...Usually avoid more than 1000 mg per day. Thrombosis has not been ruled out as a potential complication of tranexamic acid and its use should be limited to instances where other less risky therapies have failed. ...Read more

I'm on solpadol & diclofenac for pain, I need to double dose, & top up w/ metamizole & mefenamic acid. And I still have pain?

Do not self treat: The combination you describe can have serious side effects especially taking multiple NSAIDs. Are you getting prescriptions from multiple doctors? If so, stop doing it. Can you tell me if on solpadol & diclofenac for pain, need to double dose, & top up w/ metamizole & mefenamic acid - still pain?

Should any pediatric endo doc's use adult 11.25 im (3 month slow release dose) on a child every 28days 4 precious puberty for 1 year? Why / why not?

Should any pediatric endo doc's use adult 11.25 im (3 month slow release dose) on a child every 28days 4 precious puberty for 1 year? Why / why not?

Usually not: The 3- month prep is used every 3 months. Studies have shown its effectiveness suppressing gonadotropins in children using it that way. I've not encountered it used monthly, nor are there published studies using that formulation monthly. If 11.25 mg isn't working, there is an effective 30 mg dose which is used every 3 months. The supprelin implant which is annually replaced is also very effective. ...Read more
