Should any pediatric endo doc's use adult 11.25 im (3 month slow release dose) on a child every 28days 4 precious puberty for 1 year? Why / why not?
Usually not: The 3- month prep is used every 3 months. Studies have shown its effectiveness suppressing gonadotropins in children using it that way. I've not encountered it used monthly, nor are there published studies using that formulation monthly. If 11.25 mg isn't working, there is an effective 30 mg dose which is used every 3 months. The supprelin implant which is annually replaced is also very effective. ...Read more
