Pomegranate Juice Is Good For Thyroid
Fruit juice: There are no direct data to say yes or no. Cranberry extract does help recurrent UTI by reducing bacterial adhesion to ureter and bladder. Ponegranate can reduce renin angiotensin presence, and this can reduce BP a bit but can elevate potassium in blood. Both juices contain anti-oxidants, and anti-oxidants are beneficial for kidney disease. However, potassium retention is the larger concern. ...Read more

Be wary: Most fruit juices are just sugary beverages, providing extra calories — all from refined carbohydrates — without sating appetite. I have fibroids, dizziness, lightheadedness, no balance and chest pains. Ekg, stress, tilt table and thyroid good. Orange juice helps usually. Any idea?
Not necessarily: Juices are an oversold product that provides plenty of sugar & sweet stimulus to babies. They may program the brain to seek it in excess over a lifetime. Apple in the form of a sauce/orange as a wedge are less processed & give a blend of protein and fiber that are better for babies. Juices are basically like giving a kid a coke. ...Read more

Probably but...: As far as I can tell no one knows for sure. There was one study showing a reduction of T3 and T4 in mice given aloe, but that doesn't mean it would do the same for people. Some recommend it for hyperthyroidism and thyroiditis because it helps balance immune function but I don't know of studies on this. I consider it benign and it does have proven benefits. Likely safe but monitor thyroid function. ...Read more
