Yes: Stress and fatigue are the main causing factors. There are no drops or ointment that can stop the twitching, while it is true that irritation of the lids and cornea can cause this, you have tried these with no results.

Cant see after putting ointment in eyes for blepharitis. What should I do since I have low vision>worse now?

Switch to a drop: Ointments usually cause blurry vision. This is why we usually prescribe them at bedtime. Since you have low vision to begin with ask your doctor to switch you to a drop instead. The drops are just as efficient and have the added benefit of not blurring your vision.

Blepharitis and dry eyes not going away. Have allergies and asthma. Experiencing symptoms for 10 months. Prescribed tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) ointment and feel worser.

Not correct treatmen: Tobradex (tobramycin and dexamethasone) is a poor choice for treatment of these conditions. Blepharitis and dry eye often occur together and both disorders require treatment. See an ophthalmologist for evaluation and management of these disorders.

I don't have any signs of blepharitis but I keep having recurring styes in both my eyes. Could it be an infection?

Maybe: Could also be related to an oil your body can't digest...like peanut oil. Suggest moist heat compresses and digestive enzymes. Then an ophthalmologist. Www. Blatmanhealthandwellness. Com

Hot compresses and eye drops and lid scrubs not helping my blepharitis. I don't know what else to do my vision hasn't been the same in months?

See an eye doc: You may need antibiotic combined with steroid ointment to the eye and systemic treatment with Doxycline medication. Please also take Omega 3 essential fatty acid (sources are fish, flax seed or Chia seed oil). Avoid dust and animal dandruff. Please see an ophthalmologist for consult.

Is there a way to know whether my blepharitis cause my dry eyes or vice versa? Is it important to know what exactly cause both? Doc didn't explain.

Is there a way to know whether my blepharitis cause my dry eyes or vice versa? Is it important to know what exactly cause both? Doc didn't explain.

Dry eyes: Dry eyes and blepharitis are both common eye problems. Inflammation, such as occurs with blepharitis, exacerbates dry eye syndrome. In addition, the eyelid oil glands are dysfunctional in blepharitis. This oil is part of the tear film and helps retard evaporation of the tears. The treatment of both is complex and chronic.

Can you have blepharitis in only one eye?

Unusual: But it can certainly affect one eye more or you can have more symptoms in one eye vs the other.

Any connection to blepharitis and eye floaters?

Not exactly: If the blepharitis is causing pellets of meibomian oil to float in your tear film that could be perceived as floaters. Dr clancy is correct that there is no connection with vitreous floaters.

Blepharitis how I can get rid off the inflamation in my eye = (help?

Blepharitis how I can get rid off the inflamation in my eye = (help?

Blepharitis: Your blepharitis, a common inflammation of the eyelids, may lead to keratitis or blepharoconjunctivitis (infection). Remedies often involve hot compresses, lid hygiene with a wash cloth and diluted baby shampoo, gentle massage of the eyelids with the warm wash cloth, and occasionally antibiotic ointments or drops like azasite, and if severe, a combination of an antibiotic and steroid. May use tears.

Is this an allergy?: See an allergist or ophthalmologist. Itchiness, tearing and redness may be caused by an allergy. Specific eyes drops may help.

Have evaporative dry eye & blepharitis: what is the order of doing the following and how often/day: warm compress, lid scrub, tear drop. Thanks.

Warm comp first: Hi, whether or not you need eyelid scrubs once or twice a day is between you and your eye md, but the sequence should be warm compress first, lid scrub next and artificial tears as many times a day as it takes for your eyes to not feel dry.

All might do it: It really appears to be trial and error and w/ how long a weaning some require that's a very troubling reply - I know. Some that often do - don't for a particular person. I doubt anyone knows before hand. It's a good reason to consider CBT psychotherapy if your depression can be managed w/ little or w/out medications and their side effects. Worth a try while you switch meds seeking a winner!

I have blepharitis not that strong but very mild. Whenever I put hot compresses on my eyelids this thick oil covers my eye and I can't see anything?

Oil is good!: The tear film is made up of a balance between the aqueous (water), oil, and mucus. So, warm compresses allow the oil glands to open up, and keep the tear film on your eyes longer, to prevent against evaporation. Otherwise, you'll end up with styes. So, you are practicing good lid hygiene. Warm, not hot compresses are better for eyes, and more comfortable. You should see better using less heat.

I have blepharitis. I use daily novartis scrubs to clean my eyelids, however it's been 2 days and my eyes are still puffy don't know if their working?

I have blepharitis. I use daily novartis scrubs to clean my eyelids, however it's been 2 days and my eyes are still puffy don't know if their working?

Need more time: I would continue warm compresses and scrubs twice daily. It just takes longer to improve than just a few days. If it does not respond, I would recommend seeing an eye doctor.
