Vaginal itch: Bactroban (mupirocin) is an antibacterial ointment. It is not likely to help with vaginal itching. Yeast infections are the most common causes and over the counter yeast creams are readily available at any pharmacy. If that does not work you will need an exam to determine the cause and treatment ...Read more
Mupirocin: Mupirocin is used to treat certain skin infections. It is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria. Unless the vaginal itching is caused by one of those bacteria, there would be little reason to use this medication. A good plan would be to see a doctor for an evaluation. This would lead to a diagnosis that had a specific and effective treatment. ...Read more
Cures or more promising longer lasting relief for vaginal dermatitis/eczema? Steroid ointment not 100% helpful for very long.
What is the cause?: The cure would be to find out what has caused the problem in the first place. Allergy to a product you're using, such as soap, vagisil, moisturizer, or medicated wipes? Allergy to a fragrance in your laundry soap or fabric softener, menstrual pads? Stop everything except plain petrolatum or crisco shortening to soothe the irritation. No fabric softener sheets in the dryer. See a dermatologist. ...Read more
A man has herpes and at times he uses Aquaphor ointment or tea tree ointment to moisturize (non-outbreak times) can that cause a woman vaginal issues?
Possible Transmissio: If the outbreak is in the genital area, it is best to avoid intercourse to prevent transmission to his partner, assuming the partner is negative for herpes. Similarly, if this is an oral outbreak, oral intercourse should be avoided. The tea tree oil may cause vaginal irritation and sensitivity. ...Read more

Can you use ulcer ointments in the vagina to prevent a small tear from being moist and wet? If so, will this make the tear heal faster?
Herpes?: I have never heard of an "ulcer ointment", and I doubt it will help anything. Maybe one of the topical treatments for herpes (penciclovir)? By far the main cause of recurrent vaginal ulcers is genital herpes. Apparently you're male -- her partner? You both should be tested for herpes and other STDs. Good luck! ...Read more
Hi I have chemical burns on my vulva and vagina from using nair can you tell me what ointment or something to put on it so it can be back to normal.
IN the future - nair is not designed for delicate areas such as the vagina/ vulva - so please don't do that.
You can use a hydrocortisone cream (not ointment) and an antibacteria cream such as bactroban (requires a prescription), and KEEP the area area CLEAN and DRY - and use antibacteria soap - NOT any lotions, vaseline, etc. In addition, I also recommend never shaving - trimming okay. ...Read more

I have a growth on my vaginal wall, about 4 inches inside. It is 1-2 inches long, with a rounded knob-like end with a crater in it. It doesn't hurt.
Hmmm....: That sounds just like the cervix, which is at or near the end of the vagina in all women except very rare cases of women born without a cervix. The cervix is the entrance to the uterus. The "crater" is the hole in the middle of the cervix, that leads to the uterus. ...Read more
