Lumigan: I assume that you are talking about the difference between the 0.o3 5 solution and the 0.01 % solution. The 0.03 % solution is no longer available in the USA. It has been replaced by the 0.01 % solution. The both appear to similarly effective in lowering eye pressure but the 0.01 % solution is associated with fewer side effects. ...Read more
I giv my baby 2 scoops of generic enfamil infant mixed with1 scoop of name brand enfamil AR . generic scoop looks bigger than than the other, this ok?
Scoop size: The scoops may appear to be of different dimension to your eyes. Why don't you look to see if there is a label impressed into the scoop such as 1 tsp or 1 tbsp. Check the side of the cans of formula. It may be the case that they manufactured it such that they want you to use 2 scoops of the generic formula to reconstitute the liquid formula. They will give the instructions on the side of the can. ...Read more

Okay : So long as you don't have a strong family history for ovarian or breast cancer, this small cyst on the ovary isn't concerning. It's very small in size. And is likely an incidental finding on ultrasound. The fibroid you described as well is also benign and small. The most important and definitive opinion comes from your doctor who knows you the best. But overall, these findings are not worrisome. ...Read more

Balch's Prescription for Nutritional Healing 5th edition 2010 recommends distilled water. Has FDA endorsed this? Reverse Osmosis water is 2nd. Which?
Baby 3 weeks, What water safe to use with powder formula? Bottled Spring water vs bottled purified water w/ minerals & fluoride. Don't like using tap.
Distilled: Distilled water would be ideal at this stage. Fluoride is not necessary until the teeth start to erupt. 'Drinking water' is from a municipal source ( tap water), nursery water is often priced higher and not necessarily superior to Distilled. Spring water quality is variable is quality and consistency. ...Read more

I am using 300 mcg biotin 1 per day.And with this tablet i m taking vitamin B complex, vitamin E 200mg, and multivitamin. Is it ok?
Yes as long as...: That is fine. None of the things you are taking are likely to be toxic as long as the Vit E you are taking is natural with mixed tocopherols; there is evidence synthetic E (dl-alpha tocopherol) is toxic & even natural E should contain mixed tocopherols.Make sure your multivitamin is high quality- see http://bit.ly/18XyuLe & http://bit.ly/1b36cQ0 Make sure you're not taking more than 200 mg of B6. ...Read more
Not a good idea...: Betadine is a skin disinfectant used prior to surgery. It is likely too harsh to use everyday and some people even become allergic to it. I would not recommend you use it as a routine facial wash. ...Read more

No better or worse: When it comes to multivitamins & mineral supplements, you don't need fancy labels & brands. Yes, there are claims re solubility etc but bottom line, there aren't even any studies showing clinical benefit from multivtamins. With that said, rather than worry about brand names & labels (aside from USP DSVP), ask your family doc to measure 25OH vitamin D. Keep it over 30ng/mL to protect your bones. ...Read more
