Yes : While is is much more likely to be a soft tissue injury like tendon or ligament it is possible to get a stress fracture which would require different treatment than a sprain. Tendon and ligament injuries also have the potential to be serious and require splinting and therapy. A good exam and xray will usually provide all the needed information. ...Read more
