Typical ivy: Not serious but very annoying. Water is good for it. Soap or laundry detergent not relevant. Ivy reaction is allergic, not contagious. When you lie flat the eyelid swelling will be more, when you are erect it will subside. Usually on eyelid it does not itch even when severe itch is present elsewhere.
