Dr. Jay C. Bradley answered:

Is there a picture of the skin rash caused by West Niles Virus? I have 3 round spots that look like cigarette burn and each one has a few extremely small red dots that after 2 weeks have now gotten as big as the original one.

Rash

West_nile_virus
Your description does not sound like West Nile virus. It is difficult to guess based on your description but Lyme disease could fit. You need to see an eye doctor as soon as possible for further evaluation and to ensure proper treatment.

Can viral pneumonia give you a rash?

Yes

Viral_infection
Many types of viruses can cause pneumonia and not infrequently they may also cause a rash. The classic is varicella virus which is also known as chicken pox. Adults with varicella seem to be more predisposed to getting viral pneumonia in association with the classic rash.

I have a rash from pneumonia - Can I wear makeup to cover it up or will it make the rash worse?

Can make it worse

Skin_rash
Putting makeup on your rash could make it worse, I recommend that you get plenty of rest and if you have to go out and you are uncomfortable showing off the rash to wear clothing that covers it.

Thyroid stopped secreting, pneumonia, red rash on each cheek & positive antinuclear antibody - is this lupus ?

Maybe

Rash
It may also just be autoimmune thyroid disease with the facial rash due to an unrelated cause such as rosacea. See a rheumatologist and then you will know.

My child had been diagnosed with pneumonia a week ago. She is taking Augmentin for 3 days now. Today saw rash on her chest, would could it be?

Probably Viral rash

Rash
Lots of enteroviral and respiratory viruses can cause such...Exanthem subitum, scarlatina or scarlatinella ...Was hoping you can upload an image for second look! Otherwise if afebrile and asymptomatic...watchful waiting is a good option! Regards!

Dr. Kerrie Pinkney answered:

My 2 month old has a bulging soft spot, rash, has been diagnose with bronchiolitis, RSV, pneumonia, gasps for air and wheezes & no meningitis... ?????

Go to hospital

Rash
You need to take them to the hospital if the child is gasping for air. The rash may be viral since meningitis ruled out as possible.

there is no need to give something someone may be allergic to, there are many alternatives. Talk to your doctor.

What is pneumonia

Lung infection

Alveoli
An infection of lung tissue air sacs ( alveoli) is a pneumonia. An infection confined to just the larger air tubes would be called bronchitis.
