2yrs ago, I had pleurusy post pneumonia. The pain was very severe. Over the last month, I have had the same stabbing pains, but not as severe, nor have I been ill. Could it be pleurisy? What warning signs should I look for to say I need medical help?

It is also possible that something is in your lung to have caused your pneumonia, and it now is causing the rib pain. Possibly: Typically, the pain caused by respiratory infection is worse with deep breath and cough. If yours meets those criteria, then it's likely related.
