Pms cramps are lighter and different this month. Also having pain below my ribs. Never had sex so pregnancy unlikely. What is causing this?

Ever took contraceptive pills? then you may not have pain on the menstruation at end of the pill cycle as the bleeding is not from the ovary cycle and also there is no ovulation. Congratulations on improving your diet and taking vitamins; this can only help your health in the long run. I can not imagine any way that would cause irregular periods so this is a coincidence. Evaluation: Sounds like your hormones are fluctuating, but not as they should. Either you are not ovulating, or something may be blocking the period from coming out.
