Complex ovarian cyst w/intern.Septations, submuc. Fibroids, nabothian cysts, liver cyst, hernia. All new w/in last 8 weeks. Possible cancer? Type?

Slow down a bit...: Ok, you have a lot of issues just recently identified. I'm doubtful you have any cancer. Your biggest concern appears to be the ovarian cyst, which is probably benign, but you need to be evaluated by your gyn. The hernia is an elective process, and the liver cyst is probably congenital. Fibroids and nabothian cyst can also be evaluated by your gyn. Take a breath and make an appointment. Good luck. ...Read more

Cyst (Definition)

Can not say: Without reviewing all of the images it is not wise for us to try and guess which report is right and which report is not. If you are not comfortable with the doctors interpretation it is perfectly reasonable to get a 2nd opinion. ...Read more

Diagnosed w/a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. Everyone (ER docs) thought appendicitis.CT &ultra sound showed cyst. High WBC. Severe pain again. Any advice?

Pelvic abscess: The high WBC count worries me. Hemorrhagic cyst may be associated with an abscess. It may not have been infected before but is now infected (abscess is usually due to a focal bacterial infection). I suspect that your doctor put you on antibiotics. If you are getting worse on the antibiotics, they may not be working. Call your doctor right away to let the doctor know it is worsening. ...Read more

Can Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma cyst resemble functional cyst on MRI?

Can Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma cyst resemble functional cyst on MRI?

No: A simple cyst has a very specific benign appearance, while a cystadenocarcinoma usually has characteristics that are pathognomonic for a complex mass. A benign hemorrhagic cyst may resemble a worrisome cystadenoca. If you are worried about an ovarian cyst, talk to your doctor. You can do an ultrasound in 4-6 weeks. If it is a cancer, it will not be the same size or have the same characteristics. ...Read more

Can para ovarian cysts & or ovarian cysts cause leg numbness? I had sonogram & was told I have a para ovarian cyst & an ovarian cyst, each 2cm

Does an ultrasound clearly differentiate between ovarian cyst and ovarian cancer. Does ovary/period pain after eating sound like large cyst. ?

Does an ultrasound clearly differentiate between ovarian cyst and ovarian cancer. Does ovary/period pain after eating sound like large cyst. ?

Ultrasound: An ultrasound may show whether the ovary is fluid filled or solid, or simple or complex. Ovarian cancer is usually complex and solid, but not always. A repeat ultrasound is often recommended. A CA 125 blood test may help differentiate the two... Yes: It is normal for the ovaries to form cysts. Every woman has an ovarian cyst about 2 centimeters in diameter at the time of ovulation. That cyst may enlarge to as much a 6 or 8 centimeters before gradually going away. On rare occasion one of these cysts may cause enough pain to require treatment (medical or surgical). 7 CM ovarian cyst, ca-125 levels elevated (48), roma score & all blood tests good. Previously had nasopharyngeal cancer. Recurrence or endometrioma?

Likely endometrioma: At your age, ovarian cancer would be exceedingly rare. Ca-125 levels can be elevated in young women for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with cancer. Nasopharyngeal cancer and ovarian have no relation to each other. Your doctor should tell you what features or characteristics the ovarian cyst has, this will tell you what kind of cyst it is. Good luck! ...Read more

Ultrasound says complex ovarian cyst, septated, internal echos and avascular. Says could be possible haemorrhagic cyst but i'm worried of cancer?

Follow-up required: In a patient of your age, it is likely self-limited and very well could represent a hemorrhagic cyst. However, a repeat ultrasound 6 weeks following the first is suggested to document resolution or decrease in size and to re-evaluate for patency of the ovarian artery. ...Read more

Left oophrectomy 8yrs ago due to large dermoid. Now 3.8 cm dermoid and 3.1 cm complex cyst, 2.8 unspf cyst on rt. Can rt ovary be saved? Fertility?

Specialist: I would strongly advise first seeing a fertility specialist with expertise in robotic surgery. It is alsmost unheard of at a young age to remove the ovary for a cyst. Your fertility will be impaired no matter what and it is important to discuss options before surgery and ways to perform the surgery to moinimize removal of the eggs you have left. An evaluation of your eggs is important prior to sur ...Read more

I have 2 cystic ovarian masses, on CT scan. Could this mean ovarian cancer. I'm nervous. 29 years old?

Almost never!!: It is very common to see cysts on the ovaries. Ovaries make cysts every month that contain eggs. These come and go all the time. These are usually small, under 3cm each. But you should follow up with your gynecologist who can check with an ultrasound. Ct scan is a very poor way to look at the ovaries and pelvic ultrasound will tell you much more. Most likely, they will go away on their own. ...Read more

20 yr old son, college baseball player, ulnar wrist pain, mri-intraocceous ganglion within lunate with marrow edema. treatment? Worsen if plays?

Surgery: Would want to discuss directly with hand specialist, but would likely need surgery, although could potentially be done in off season. The combination of the ganglion inside the lunate weakening the bone and your sons sporting activity are causing edema in the bone, which is somewhat like having a stress fracture in the bone. If he has future hopes in baseball, will Likely need to be fixed. ...Read more
