Yes: All ace inhibitors cause fetal abnormalities including cranial malformation and kidney problems in a large percentage of fetuses who are exposed although not 100%. It is absolutely critical you not take this medication while pregnant. A few doses early in pregnancy are less likely to be harmful. It does: It does inhibit platelet function. It does inhibit clot formation in veins. Its just that venous clots aren't quite as serious an issue. We worry about clots in the arteries to your heart that can lead to heart attack or an artery to your extremity leading to cold leg or arm. People do get clots in their veins, they are called DVTs but they usually aren't fatal. ...Read more
