It is possible but..: Yes they both work in the body differently so in some cases it can be a good combination with Luvox (fluvoxamine) being effective for ocd and depression and Wellbutrin being an antidepressant that works differently than the Luvox (fluvoxamine). Why tapering?: You should talk to the doctor who prescribed it first, to make sure you don't still need the medication to control any symptoms. Otherwise, to taper, decrease to 25 mg daily for two weeks and then stop. You could start to notice a return of depression or anxiety with reducing the dose or stopping it. See a psychiatrist: I can only guess your medication is for depression. First of all I am clueless as to why your dose of Remeron is so low and every other night. Secondly i don't understand why you were coming off of just 10 mg of Paxil (paroxetine) which is rarely therapeutic. Thirdly, 75 mg of wellbutrin is too low as a starting dose. Find yourself a psychiatrist who will dose your meds properly with full remission from the depression as a goal. This will generally take 300 mg a day of wellbutrin.You can taper the Paxil (paroxetine) to 5 mg down from 10 and then stop it if you wish. That may help make any potential withdrawal more tolerable. Antidepressants best: Another antidepressant, possibly snri like Effexor (venlafaxine) may be more helpful at this time. Add ons such as gaba- calm and natural anxiety aids can help.
