Plan B Within
I took 2 plan B's within 5 days. One on Thursday (may 7) and then yesterday (may 11). Am I at risk of serious consequences on my body?
Safe.: plan B is a very safe medication, so you should be ok. I cannot necessarily comment about your pregnancy risk because it is hard to predict. However, if you are finding that you are having as much unprotected sex that you need to take to morning after pills, you should consider a more long acting form of birth control. High: Pregnancy rate is ~10% if taken within 72 hours. There may be irregular bleeding for up to 2 months after taking. The pattern doesn't mean anything about whether the medication worked or not. So run a home urine pregnancy test 14 days after the accident using first urine of the morning. If it's negative, you're not pregnant. Consider a more reliable form of contraception for the future. ...Read more

One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because Plan B works most of the time, but not all the time. ...Read more

Also consider scheduling a visit to discuss your birth control options to prevent the situation in the future. ...Read more
