Plain Yogurt Vs Activia
Hi I have activia Greek plain nonfat yogurt and it contains 6g sugar and it also says "active culture" can I use it to cure yeast infection?
Messy alternative: If you are experiencing vaginal yeast issues, using an otc anti-fungal cream for 7 nights in the vagina is much more effective. Yogurt with live cultures can help maintain the gut flora and often help prevent yeast issues that occur after antibiotic use. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Probably: Activia is cows milk based, so if your infant is on cows milk formula, he/she will likely tolerate it. Some people would prefer yobaby or other formulations lower in sugar, but the live cultures in activia tend to be better for gas and constipation (from my experience, not proven in research). And he/she is old enough to begin some healthy table foods, soft and not loaded with salt, sugar etc. ...Read more

The bacteria / helpful microorganisms in probiotics are HARD to study and HARD to keep alive. The studies vary on whether the probiotics can live all the way to the colon. ...Read more

Is this a healthy dinner? 1 activia yogurt, serving of almonds, 1 sweet potatoe, 1 boiled egg, and some baby brussel sprouts? Im 18 5'8 and 190 lbs
OK- healthier if...: This has potential but i advise choosing organic yogurt;conventional brands like activia are from cows fed gmo corn & given antibiotics & rbgh(bovine growth hormone)-avoid! the same applies to eggs. Please eat organic eggs or they're from chickens fed gmo's & antibiotics! almonds, sweet potato & brussel sprouts are all healthy- while organic is best, these are acceptable if grown conventionally. ...Read more

Can adding to much fiber at once cause loose stools, and i've been eating 2 cups of activia yogurt a day plus I have a cold?

On the other hand, the loose stools are more likely related to the virus producing your cold. If it keeps up, see a doctor. ...Read more
