Placenta is anterior upper segment grade 2 in 36 week of pregnancy. Is it good for normal delivery?
Placenta - anterior in upper and lower uterine segment, edge of placenta is 28 mm away from internal os, what does this mean?
It means all good!: The placenta is far enough away from the internal "hole" of the cervix that previa--a dangerous condition that can cause hemorrhage--is not an issue. The placenta has to go somewhere--the front (anterior), the top (fundus) or back (posterior). I don't know any more about your condition but based on that info, it all sounds ok! ...Read more

Placenta is on anterior wall, upper segment. Grade 1 maturity. Spine towards maternal right. Dr.I would like to know the gender of my baby?

I am 36 week pregnant and the recent ultrasound report says an anterior stage3 placenta in upper segment. What does it mean?
See below.: Fundal means at the top of your uterus closest to your head. Anterior means in the front part of your uterus closest to your belly button. Well away from your internal os means that the placenta is not covering the "exit" from your uterus down by your vagina. This is a very safe placental placement. ...Read more

What is predominant portion of the placenta is anterior fundal with a left lateral wrap posteriorly?
What did u doc say??: Your OB doc should explain that to u just like I explain all OB ultrasound findings to my OB pts, it menas that most of the placenta is anterior covering the front top part of the endometrium and part of it goes to the back where it usually is, no need to worry, unless the placenta is over the opening (yours is not) or if it is low anterior and u have had a previous csection cause it could stick. ...Read more
What is anterior low lying placenta means in usg scan? 4th running for me. Is it any problem my baby growth. Please suggest.
Low-lying placenta: A low-lying placenta is when the placenta has implanted near the cervix but not over it as in a placenta previa. We treat the low-lying placenta with pelvic rest and decreased activities like no heavy lifting or strenuous exercise. They generally resolve on their own. They have no effect on the growth of the baby. ...Read more
Hi, 14th week running for me. Today I went to scan. They mentioned - anterior low lying placenta. Is it problem to my unbron baby. Please sugges?
Placental location: An anterior low lying placenta is a possible cause of bleeding if running at this stage of pregnancy. It is unlikely to cause a serious problem for your baby, however. Usually the low lying placenta will be located higher up as the uterus grows, and will not be a problem for delivery. Another sonogram in a month may show it to be in a more normal position. ...Read more
Not to worry: This is a minor detail of an ultrasound report and only has relevance for an obstetrician who might be doing a cesarean section. A c-section incision is made through the lower uterine segment and so knowing this provides a caution to the surgeon when s/he operates. Generally in pregnancy, as the uterus and baby grow, a placenta tends to move back from this position so I doubt it will be important ...Read more

I just had my ultrasound at 17weeks and it says I have anterior low lying placenta grade 1. How can may placenta to normal position??
Wait till 28 weeks: Whether the placenta will obstruct the internal opening of the neck (cervix) of the uterus can best be determined after 28 weeks of gestation. By then, most "low lying" placentas have resolved on their own. In the meantime, caution with intercourse may be prudent to avoid anxiety and stressfrom vaginal bleeding. ...Read more

Can me having an anterior placenta be the reason why I'm 28weeks and still only feel little movement sometimes nothing at all?
My placenta is anterior! Does having an anterior placenta effect the feeling of the baby's movements? What is a anterior placenta?
Anterior = front: Anterior is just another name for the front. Visualize your womb as an upside down bag, with your placenta located on the front wall and the baby behind it. Location has little to do with perception of movements. Most first timers pick it up by 20 wks, repeats do at 16-18. ...Read more
