Same as others . . .: Rivastigmine is probably as effective as galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) & donepezil in treating Alzheimer's disease, which is to say, not very. While their FDA approvals required demonstrating better test scores, studies were contradictory as to clinical benefit. Best we can hope w/acetylcholinesterase inhibitor class is to slow down disease progression but there is no cure yet. Perhaps better if used w/memantine. ...Read more
