What are these not red, non itchy, dry, non flaky spots on my skin. They're about the size of a nickle and smaller. They're spreading quickly.
Dry spreading rash: There are a number of different things this could be. One of them, common in young people is pityriasis rosea, which has oval pink/tan/salmon colored patches with scaling on the rim of the patch. On the back it has a christmas tree distribution with descending rows of these patches. No way to know?: Rashes are difficult at best when seen by the doctor. One would need more information and a look to know how to give you a diagnosis. Contagious? Infection? Fungal? Parasitic (scabies and such)? Contact dermatitis (poison ivy/oak)? Systemic disease with rash (lupus and other)? Syphilis? Eczema? Allergic reaction? The story goes on and on. Some thoughts...: You do a great job of describing the rash, but unfortunately there are still very many possibilities. It could be a medication reaction, a viral exanthem, tinea, eczema (even if it doesn't itch), a vasculitis... It's a long list.
