The pinky toe on my left foot went numb about 3 weeks ago and now its spreading to the next toe, numbness never goes away. What could be causing this?

In addition to: Dr. Kass' excellent answer, i'll add that if you have some sort of bony protrusion that happens to be right over the nerve that supplies your little piggy, the nerve can get sandwiched between the bony protrusion and your shoe causing something called neuropraxia which can cause you to feel numb. Toe Can't Win This.: Slightly numb is a warning, that if this activity continues, further problem will present themselves.
