A Doc should look: Bright pink discharge has lots of causes. You could have a vaginal or cervical tear. It could be from an infection or vaginal foreign body etc. Sometimes blood will also come from other structures that are close by such as the urethra (UTI) or the anus (rectal bleeding.) Ultrasound : I would want to know the reason you had the sonogram. If it was for irregular bleeding or spotting then this is not surprising. Sonograms don't cause spotting but if there was done blood in the back of the vagina then when mixed with the sono gel it would loosen up and come out. ...Read more

Prob irreg period: Sounds like an irregular period. Brown usually means old blood that has been sitting at the back of the vagina. If this is not typical for you then track your cycles for the next few months to see if they normalize. Often things get back to normal the next cycle.
