Pink Spots On Neck
Appeared pink not itching tough not big stains on the face of tiny spots, was gone for a couple of weeks, now the same stain on the neck. What's wrong?
Good day Dr. I have a 22days old baby boy with a pink spot at the back of his head neck, so I would like to know what must I do to remove it,?
Nothing: Without seeing the spot in person it's difficult to provide a certain diagnosis. Many babies are born with "stork bites" -red/salmon colored areas - on the back of their necks/heads. It is a birthmark and nothing to worry about and will fade over time on it's own. If you are still concerned please have a pediatrician evaluate it before subjecting your baby to unnecessary and potentially harmful tx ...Read more
What can cause popping sensation behind adams apple after swallowing? Also noticed white/pink spots on back of throat. Smoker. No pain. Serious?
Otolarnyngologist: The sound may be related to motions of the larynx and other throat structures during swallowing. The white spots may be tonsillar stones which are benign collections of old food particles. If you have continuing concerns, an Otolaryngologist is best qualified to examine and advise you. ...Read more
Hello my throat Is sore and I have felt something on the side of my mouth and look in there and saw a few pink to red spots on me check?
That's an enanthem: Basically you have a 'rash' inside your mouth, caused by the germ that's giving you the sore throat you have now. Hopefully all your vaccines are up-to-date, but I would still see a doctor who can culture that and start you on empiric therapy so you improve. Pharyngitis can be diagnosed and treated. The results of the doctor's exam and tests will determine the best treatment. Hope you feel better. ...Read more

Interesting.: It could be from mouth breathing when you slept and caused a dry mouth situation. If this cleared up, then it likely was associated with that. If not, and is continuing, you will want to have it examined by your dentist as soon as you can to determine what the cause might be and how to remedy it. ...Read more
What looks like a Canker sore on soft palate. Red spots in back of throat/roof of mouth. Mouth is also yellow in color instead of pink. What is this?
That's not an easy?: Sorry about that, but I'm certain a doctor will need to examine you to answer that question. What other physical symptoms do you have? How long has this been an issue? Any fever? Maybe mono? Maybe oral herpes? The yellow could be superficial growth of bacteria or damaged skin or it might be jaundice. So, in a nutshell this is a situation where exam is unavoidable if you want answers. Feel better! ...Read more

Have a virus - pink eye going away but now I have bad pain in throat (feels like a shard of glass) in same spot for few days. Is that from the virus?
Strep test: Should be done. The sore throat is most likely due to the virus which caused the pink eye. However, both could be due to Strep. It is not unusual for Strep to cause conjunctivitis (pink eye). It is a good idea to have a Strep test done when you have a sore throat. Left untreated for >7 days, Strep throat can cause rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. It is just not worth the risk. ...Read more
