Are you sure it is: In the muscle? Or maybe more superficial, in the subcutaneous tissue? Doesn't sound serious, unless there is weakness in the leg. If it is loss of sensation, its is nerve to the skin of the area that is affected. A small area is of little significance, unless you have other symptoms. ...Read more

Thigh pain: there are many causes of this problem. If it is upper thigh might think about meralgia parathestica which is an entrapment of the later femoral cutaneous nerve. This is common in females.
